Redstone Commodity Search are working with an international metal trading company looking for physical copper and aluminium scrap traders in South Africa.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

•Form both sourcing and sales strategies to build out the copper and aluminium desk in South Africa

•Develop and maintain relationships with counterparties - both buyers and suppliers whilst negotiating physical contracts to maximise P&L

•Trading of copper and aluminium in scrap, secondary, semi and finished forms

•Analyse and stay up to date with global reports and trends relating to supply and demand of copper and aluminium market fundamentals

•Role reports into company Managing Director

Key Qualifications / Experience

•5+ years’ experience in copper and aluminium trading primarily focused on South Africa

•Strong network of buyers and suppliers within / from South Africa for scrap aluminium and copper

•Profitable track record within copper and aluminium South African scrap market

•Experience of successfully devising profitable trading strategies

•Based in South Africa or Dubai / Happy to relocate
