NATIONAL SALES MANAGER, PERFORATED METALS

ROLE OVERVIEW

The National Sales Manager, Perforated Metals is a mission-critical commercial leadership role responsible for transforming and accelerating a national perforated metals business following a major platform expansion. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this leader will inherit a scaled, North American footprint and be charged with building a modern, hunter-led sales organization capable of sustained, profitable growth. The successful candidate will bring immediate industry credibility, reshape sales structure and habits, expand penetration into OEM and fabricated applications, and professionalize commercial execution across a geographically dispersed team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own and execute the national commercial strategy for the perforated metals business, aligned with near-term operating plans and long-term growth objectives.

• Redesign and lead the national sales organization (inside and outside sales), establishing clear roles, coverage models, KPIs, and accountability.

• Shift the sales culture from reactive order-taking to proactive, hunter-led selling focused on opportunity creation and value-added solutions.

• Expand the business beyond distributor concentration into OEM, engineered, and fabricated applications by leveraging enhanced manufacturing and fabrication capabilities.

• Serve as the senior commercial face of the business with key national accounts, strategic customers, and industry partners.

• Drive pricing discipline, margin management, pipeline rigor, and forecasting accuracy through CRM adoption and data-driven operating cadence.

• Partner closely with Operations to align sales commitments with manufacturing capability, capacity, and delivery performance.

• Assess, develop, and upgrade sales talent as needed to support a performance-driven, scalable organization.

• Provide regular, fact-based updates to executive leadership on commercial performance, market dynamics, and growth initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS

• 10+ years of progressive sales and commercial leadership experience within the perforated metals industry.

• Demonstrated success building, resetting, or transforming national or multi-regional sales organizations.

• Proven ability to sell beyond commodity sheet metal into fabricated, engineered, or OEM-driven solutions.

• Strong operating discipline, including CRM adoption, pipeline management, forecasting, and KPI accountability.

• Balanced leadership style combining authority and influence; able to impose structure while effectively leading long-tenured, decentralized teams.

• Hands-on, visible leadership approach with comfort traveling extensively across North America.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent professional experience considered.
