After School Childcare Staff - Cornwall

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring staff for our After School Program for the 2025-2026 school year.

JOB STATUS: Part-time, non-exempt

LOCATION: Cornwall Consolidated School in West Cornwall, CT

POSITIONS AVAILABLE: Childcare Program Staff

PAY: $16.50 per hour

HOURS: 3:00 - 5:00 pm

The After School Program team is responsible for:

Leading hands-on activities based on the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities, as well as providing homework assistance.

Ensuring a safe, healthy, clean, and fun environment while serving as a positive role model for children in the program.

Arriving ready to work at scheduled times and remaining on site until the final child has departed.

Maintaining daily communication with parents and family members through the Playground App.

Complying with state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.

Some positions may also take on management-related duties such as keeping accurate attendance records, registration, and staffing.

Requirements

MINIUMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

18 years or older and hold a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferably 1 year of experience working with kids under 13.

Medically cleared of any communicable diseases including TB.

Must be warm, friendly, and upbeat. Exceptional people skills, professional, reliable, and prompt.

Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, carry (up to 50 lbs.), and do whatever it takes to keep up with the children.
