We are searching for a creative and driven Head Chef to lead the culinary direction of a beloved independent bistro in Helena, Montana. Known for its commitment to locally sourced, scratch-made food, this restaurant is ready for fresh ideas and inspired leadership to revitalize its presence in the community.
What You’ll Do:
Develop seasonal menus that highlight regional, farm-to-table ingredients
Lead and mentor an experienced kitchen staff
Oversee food preparation, plating, and consistency during busy services
Manage kitchen operations, including inventory, food cost, and vendor relationships
Who You Are:
5+ years in a professional kitchen with at least 2 years in a leadership role (Executive Chef, Head Chef, Senior Sous Chef)
Experience in New American, farm-to-table, or fine dining preferred
Strong grasp of cost control, inventory management, and kitchen systems
Excellent communicator and team leader, with a passion for sustainable cooking
Preferred Qualifications:
Culinary degree or formal culinary training
Proficiency with kitchen management or POS systems
