ADMISSION COUNSELLOR

Professional Qualifications & Experience

Education : A Master's degree in Education, Counselling, Psychology, or a related field is typically required along with strong communication skills.

Experience : Prior experience in admissions, recruitment, student services, or counselling is highly advantageous along with exposure to student guidance; The incumbent shall be required to guide applicants, managing admissions, conducting interviews, evaluating applications, organizing events, and promoting programs to meet enrolment goals, focusing on student success. Further exposure to / the following is also strongly preferred.

Communication : Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.

Interpersonal : Empathy, active listening, building rapport, and working with diverse groups.

Organizational : Strong planning, detail orientation, and time management.

Knowledge : Understanding of educational programs, admissions criteria, and processes.

Technical : Familiarity with CRM software and student management systems.

Recruitment : Implementing recruitment strategies, attending events, and engaging prospective students.

Counselling : Guiding students and families through the entire application process, from inquiry to enrolment.

Application Management : Reviewing applications, evaluating materials, and assisting with final admission decisions.

Event Coordination : Organizing and leading campus tours, information sessions, and open houses.

Reporting : Tracking inquiries, applications, and enrolment data to meet institutional goals.

Liaison : Collaborating with academic departments, financial aid, and other student services.
