Carpenter, Maintenance technician (South Florida)

Compensation: DOE

Employment type: Part Time/ Full Time

Our firm a State Certified Building Contractor fully licensed & insured is seeking an individual that is highly skilled with great personal skills. We work with a broad section of the Miami - Broward residential and commercial markets and good verbal skills & English is a must & bilingual is welcomed.

Currently looking for individuals that have excellent carpentry, finish carpentry skills. Knowledge and experience in most phases of construction and finish work is required. In addition candidate must possess ability to perform daily service calls in different trades such as minor electrical, minor plumbing, also drywall, painting hurricane shutters etc., if the job requires it. We work throughout the south Florida area.

Duties include:

Perform any carpentry type jobs that come along, new install, repair of broken units on site, refinishing, laminate work, etc.

Posses skills in painting, and drywall finishing a definite plus

Posses knowledge, and skill to handle small to large scale Ceramic, VCT, and concrete flooring replacement projects Performing other repairs such as door, and frame replacement, cabinetry, acoustical tiles, woodwork, basic plumbing etc.

Ability to review job and submit quote to supervisor that accurately describes the scope of work, and method to perform it.

Skills/Qualifications:

Attention to Detail, Skilled Carpentry including but not limited to minor Electric and minor Plumbing ability, Planning, Power Tools, Conceptual Skills, Supply Management, ADA Requirements, Basic Safety, Equipment Maintenance, Presenting Technical Information, Judgment, Customer Service

Ability to travel daily throughout the given coverage area, and on occasion travel to job location as desired.

Must be able to work and excel independently

Ability to communicate well, and effectively

Must be punctual with job time of arrival, along with submitting paperwork in a timely manner.

Fabricates, constructs, and repairs structural woodwork and wood products by following blueprints, drawings, and oral instructions; using carpentry tools and equipment.

Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Must have valid Driver license & Social Security Card.

Required experience: 3 - 5 years
