Travel Nursing Job Details

Location: Columbus, OH 43210 (Ohio nursing jobs)

Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)

Unit: Med/Surg Tele – Gynecology and Urology (Oncology focus)

Start Date: January 5, 2026

End Date: April 27, 2026

Duration: 16 weeks

Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (Day: 07:00–19:30, Night: 19:00–07:30); 3 shifts per week

Hours per Week: 36

Estimated Weekly Salary: $1940 - $1990

Orientation: 72 hours (first week Monday–Friday dayshift, second week 36 hours on-unit with preceptor)

Self-scheduling: Requests accommodated to balance preferences and unit needs

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (compact or Ohio state license required)

Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele nursing experience

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Oncology nursing experience, including chemotherapy administration and brachytherapy, preferred

Proficiency in telemetry nursing, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias

Experience with Epic charting system

Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program

2 professional references required (at least 1 from a manager/director or formal leadership role)

Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting process promptly upon contract signing

Preferred: ONS Chemotherapy certification

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care to adults and geriatrics with cancer diagnoses (endometrial, bladder, renal, ovarian, cervical, etc.)

Administer chemotherapy and monitor for adverse reactions

Participate in clinical trials and assist with data collection and documentation

Perform specialized oncology procedures such as brachytherapy and neobladder care

Implement infection prevention protocols and ensure patient safety, including falls management

Monitor and interpret telemetry readings, responding to changes in patient condition

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including rapid response teams

Manage feeding tubes, IV therapy, blood product administration, and central line maintenance

Utilize Epic for accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes

Float to other Med/Surg Oncology units as needed
