SAFe Scrum Master
As a SAFe Scrum Master, you will make an impact by enabling Agile delivery teams to deliver value iteratively and incrementally while fostering a culture of accountability, adaptability, and collaboration. You will be a valued member of the Agile Release Train (ART) and work closely with Product Owners, delivery teams, and other Scrum Masters to ensure successful program execution. In this role, you will:
Coordinate and coach up to two Scrum delivery teams, ensuring alignment with Scrum principles and SAFe practices.
Facilitate key ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, Retrospectives, and PI Planning sessions.
Remove impediments and make work visible to maximize team productivity and delivery predictability.
Mentor Product Owners and teams on backlog refinement, prioritization, and user story best practices.
Collaborate with other Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches to improve Agile practices across the organization.

What you need to have to be considered:
5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master.
7+ years working with Agile methodologies in large-scale, complex environments.
Proven ability to coach teams and facilitate removal of impediments.
Strong communication, facilitation, and relationship management skills.
Validated Agile certifications (e.g., CSM, SAFe Scrum Master, SAFe Agilist, IC Agile Team Facilitator).
Experience with Agile lifecycle management tools (preferably Azure DevOps).
These will help you stand out:
Bachelor's degree.
Experience with both development and non-development Scrum teams.
Advanced certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Professional, SAFe Practice Consultant).
Experience in Scaled Agile environments (SAFe, LeSS).
Familiarity with portfolio tools such as ServiceNow or Jira Align.

Salary and other compensation: Applications will be accepted until January 3rd, 2026. The annual salary for this position is between $90,000 - $97,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cogniant's applicable plans.
