Position Overview:
The Squad Leader – Operations & Manufacturing is responsible for driving the day-to-day execution of C Electric’s Mysore manufacturing operations. Acting as the squad anchor driving floor execution, this role translates production plans into consistent output, ensuring smooth, efficient, and disciplined performance across all shifts. The Squad Leader leads and motivates technicians while coordinating closely with PPC, Assembly, Testing, Stores, and SCM to maintain seamless material flow and strict process adherence.
Key responsibilities include executing daily production targets through effective line control, manpower deployment, and real-time problem solving. The Squad Leader upholds CEAD’s standards of safety, reliability, and efficiency while fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement—driving productivity and ensuring every delivery meets output and timeline commitments.

Technical Skills
* Assembly & Testing Operations for Power Electronics and other Electronic Products
* EMS / Automotive Electronics Production (Soldering, Conformal Coating, Potting, PCB Handling)
* Use of Torque Tools, Jigs, Fixtures, Gauges, and Test Benches
* Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen
* Line Balancing & Process Documentation
* Traceability and Quality Control Systems
* PPC Coordination, Shop-Floor Data Management, ERP/MRP
* MS Excel and Digital Reporting Tools (Production MIS, Yield, Efficiency Tracking)

Key Responsibilities:
1. Production Planning & Execution
* Translate customer demand and forecasts into weekly and daily production schedules with PPC and SCM.
* Deliver output, yield, and cycle-time targets through process discipline and proactive issue resolution.
* Champion Lean, Kaizen, and 5S initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
* Lead the daily 9:15 a.m. production review; track efficiency, rework, and manpower utilization.
2. Supply Chain, Inventory & Vendor Management
* Drive procurement, kitting, and logistics with strong vendor collaboration for mechanical, electronics, and EMS components.
* Maintain ERP-driven MRP accuracy with 98 % inventory integrity.
* Review supplier schedules, OTD, and cost-down programs; ensure GRN-to-invoice reconciliation with Finance.
* Strengthen supplier relationships and capability for consistent quality and timely deliveries (OTD 95 %).
3. Process Control, Quality & Safety
* Ensure adherence to approved SOPs, Work Instructions, and inspection standards across lines.
* Partner with Quality Head for in-process quality, audit readiness, and NCR closure.
* Drive EHS, statutory compliance, and preventive maintenance of all equipment.
* Build a safety-first culture with zero-incident and high-uptime goals.
4. Customer Delivery & Cross-Functional Coordination
* Own On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) delivery performance and customer satisfaction metrics.
* Conduct weekly production-dispatch reviews with SCM, Quality, and Project teams.
* Anticipate and escalate delivery risks proactively to the CEO and BD teams.
* Ensure field feedback and customer issues are resolved with speed and accountability.
5. People Leadership & Capability Building
* Lead and develop teams across Production, SCM, Stores, Testing, and Plant Admin.
* Drive recruitment, skill development, and performance appraisals in collaboration with the People Function.
* Build bench strength and succession for key roles; foster ownership, agility, and collaboration.
* Champion CEAD’s culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement.
6. Governance, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
* Ensure real-time ERP accuracy across production, inventory, and dispatch modules.
* Deliver daily MIS and monthly dashboards tracking OEE, FPY, Rework %, and Cost-per-Unit.
* Present a Monthly Plant Performance Report (PPR) to the CEO covering volume, efficiency, cost, and customer metrics.
* Lead Kaizen, waste-reduction, and energy-efficiency initiatives aligned to CEAD’s sustainability goals.
7. Plant Administration & Compliance
* Oversee plant maintenance, utilities, and infrastructure readiness.
* Ensure compliance with labor laws, EHS, and local statutory requirements.
* Supervise security, housekeeping, and contract workforce operations.
* Coordinate license renewals, external audits, and documentation with consultants
