DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintains open communication lines with facility staff, attending clinicians and physicians, patients and families. Liaisons with community agencies, vendors, and payors of health services.

The Executive Director oversees the long term budgeting and organizational management of the Administrative, Clinical, Quality, and Operational functions.

This individual is responsible for communication with the leadership team regarding the functioning of the department, plans for future success, problem solving and financial accountability.

This individual is dedicated to the values and policies of treatment services, and bases department policies and procedures on these company-wide values.

The Executive Director is in charge of delegating responsibility within their departments, reviewing managerial/supervisory responsibilities and relationships and maintaining policies conducive to a healthy working environment for all operations employees.

This individual communicated clearly and effectively with employees, clients, client stakeholders, families and outside vendors. This individual accepts special projects as related to the enhancement of the department and the strategic plan.

Obtain ongoing education for the purpose of clinical supervision as well as understanding and applying current standards both for external licensure/certification and internal quality.

Provide suggestions and assistance for management staff in the implementation of standards of practice at the treatment program. Ensure standards materials and resources are up to date and available for staff.

On an ongoing basis, coordinate the process for licensure/certification survey preparation to be in a constant state of readiness for any potential audit.

Coordinate the process of becoming/maintaining state license, and in conjunction with leadership, articulate the licensure/certification plan of action

Ensure that an effective Client Satisfaction Survey process is in place and that survey results are incorporated into the overall quality improvement initiatives.

Oversee the operations function and assure the effective use of labor and resources.

Oversee the clinical product and the overall effectiveness of treatment.

Oversees all facilities and assures compliance with local and state quality and safety standards.

Ensure all quality control data is orderly and maintained on a quarterly basis, as well as documents pertaining to standards/licensure/certification. Generate a quarterly summary for leadership.

Oversee quality improvement initiatives.

Management of data reporting process.

Implement, improve, and administer enterprise software programs.

Attend mandatory meetings and those related to improving the quality of the organization.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Valid WV Driver’s License, if performing driving duties

Must be able to submit a WVCARES Background Check

Must have a negative UDS Screen

Current Adult CPR certification

Current Adult First Aid certification

EDUCATION / CREDENTIALS

Bachelors or Masters degree (Required)

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES

Strong leadership and communication skills

Strategic thinking and decision-making ability

Financial acumen and understanding of business operations

Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills

Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and industry trends

Knowledge of Joint Commission Standards. (Preferred)

Knowledge of Title 9 Licensing Regulations and DHCS AOD Certification Standards (Preferred)

Knowledge of State & Federal Statutes Regarding Patient Confidentiality Laws. (Preferred)

Demonstrates Proficiency in Verbal & Written Communication Skills.

Cultural sensitivity and desire to work with an ethnically diverse adult population.

EXPERIENCE

Two to four years of direct supervisory/managerial experience in social drug rehabilitation models.

Model and promote sensitivity to diverse cultures, behaviors and illness perspectives of patients, families, and treatment center staff, and advocate for health equity.

Lead the development and alignment of the operational components of the treatment center’s strategic plan and review activities; set direction, strategize around opportunities and threats and review goals, objectives, and outcomes on an organization-wide, ongoing basis.

Maintain strong, positive, and mutually supportive relationships with the treatment center’s leadership team and staff.
