Candidate to function as our Senior SAP Payroll Consultant. Join a small group of payroll professionals as a senior team member, responsible for US payroll processing. We are looking for a seasoned payroll professional with experience in SAP/Payroll and strong analytical skills to continue our tradition of excellent service and support for our employees. We are currently implementing a new third-party payroll provider, which presents unique opportunities to simplify and standardize our processing for maximum efficiency with appropriate controls. We have an interface-intensive environment, integrating data across several third-party suppliers and partners throughout Agilent to administer pay and benefits for over 3,500 employees located in almost every state in the US, with a wide variety of pay schemes and benefits. Some highlights of the work include: Conduct regular reviews with key vendors to ensure expectations for service levels for payroll accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and issue resolution are set and met. Use SAP tools and Excel to review and troubleshoot payroll processing and interface issues; generate reports to support business and legal inquiries. Establish documented, repeatable procedures to ensure consistent, efficient, auditable processes. Revise existing processes for greater efficiency. Analyze impact of upcoming business environment changes (acquisitions, benefit program changes, legislation) on existing systems and processes, to manage the specifications, validation, and implementation of change. Manage the related messaging to ensure fast comprehension and easy adaptation to new requirements. Ensure timely, accurate, and complete responses to internal and external auditors, including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) validation and reporting.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors or Master Degree or University Degree and/or equivalent directly related work experience; typically 8+ years relevant experience. Experience in payroll processing is required, including detailed data validation, payroll tax calculation and remittance, and statutory reporting. Ideal candidate would be a member of or accredited by the American Payroll Association. Experience responding to escalations from executive management, government agencies, and employees. The ideal candidate would be detail-oriented, to conduct in-depth troubleshooting/research involving multiple stakeholders, systems, and processes. SAP/Payroll, PeopleSoft/HRMS, Oracle/Reporting, WebEx, eRoom, Excel, Outlook and Word. Strong organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communications skills are a must, with an emphasis on clear and timely responses to audits and projects. Lean/Six Sigma certification, Experience establishing, evaluating and fine tuning repeatable, auditable processes .
