1. Process all contract labor and services’ invoices for AEP Transmission managed projects; Ensure that proper controls are in place for correct chartfield classification (GLBU, Project, Work Order, Account, Department, ABM Activity, Cost Component) for costs to be recorded on the proper operating company, joint venture, and Transco’s books. Annual invoice volume is 50,000for $1 billion.

2. Perform invoice review for compliance of contract Terms and Conditions for time and labor, billing rates, material price, escalation, per diem, travel, mark-ups, overheads, etc. Ensure all supporting documentation is attached as backup and that contract release funds are available; Establish procedures and internal controls to ensure compliance with AEP policies and guidelines.

3. Ability to interpret and understand complex contractual language and billing terms and conditions to apply to vendor invoice; must be able to challenge vendors in contractual compliance and interpretation vs. billable items.

4. Prepare the monthly reporting of unvouchered liabilities in accordance with AEP Transmission UVL Guidelines, AEP Accounting Policy, and SOX requirements; Work diligently with vendors and field personnel to ensure timely and accurate identification of estimated liabilities of material received but not invoiced and services performed but not invoiced; Assist in developing efficiencies and improvements to record unvouchered liabilities.
