Job Title: Machine OperatorJob Description
Join a leading manufacturer of structural parts for the aviation industry, specializing in creating high-quality and complex aerospace components. Utilize proprietary manufacturing techniques to fabricate parts for engine pylons, struts, wing boxes, wings, wheel wells, and aircraft interiors. Our comprehensive capabilities have positioned us as a key player in the production of popular aircraft models.Responsibilities
Operate numerical control (NC) machines and machining centers to fabricate aerospace parts according to engineering specifications.
Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and report discrepancies to the lead person.
Perform work instructions, excluding setup procedures.
Conduct thorough inspections of first part runs.
Meet job standard times with minimal supervision.
Recognize production problems and inform the supervisor.
Increase understanding of basic machine language, including M-codes and G-codes.
Verify conformance of finished work pieces to specifications using standard measuring tools.
Read and interpret manufacturing drawings.
Perform miscellaneous duties in the machine shop as directed when the supervisor is unavailable for training.
Follow all company safety guidelines, including proper use of safety equipment and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.Essential Skills
Good attitude toward work with punctuality for shift start.
Proficient use of basic measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and indicators.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Mechanically inclined with good manual dexterity.
Experience or vocational training in machine operation and machining.
Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Windows for opening and closing files.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Strong aptitude in math.
Ability to perform basic functions with MS Windows-based computer operating systems.
One-year on-the-job experience.
Completion of an aptitude test during the interview process.
Preferred completion of vocational or college training in a machine shop (Certificate of Completion of basic machining course).Why Work Here?

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
