Summary:

Self-motivated engineer with over 10 years testing, deployment, support and consulting experience with cutting edge technology used by leading ISP’s, VoIP providers and various Government agencies worldwide.

I have spent the last 2 years working for a VoIP ISP in the Cayman Islands providing engineering and consulting support to Commercial Voice over IP and Hi-Speed data customers on island. This position requires a wide scope of duties (due to the dynamic environment), however, my main focus has been the growth and support of the Voice Network (Cisco BTS 10200 Soft Switch, CallManagers, Voice Gateways, etc) and the post-sales support of our Sales staff and professional services department.

Before that I provided Network and Systems Consulting within the Professional Services division of GTSI. Recent projects with GTSI included Cisco VoIP implementation for the IRS, Cisco switch refresh for the FBI and Dept. of Veterans Affairs, Network Readiness Assessment for NASA Langley Research Center and deployment of Twisted Pair’s Wide Area Voice Environment for Land Mobile Radios (WAVE for LMR) for several US Army divisions.

WORK HISTORY:

WestTel Limited, Cayman Islands June 08 – Present

Sr. Network / VoIP Engineer

Responsible for design, maintenance, and support of WestTel’s voice and data network.

Serve as the highest escalation point for voice outages, in addition to any and all other devices encompassing an ISP (i.e. Mail, DHCP, DNS, Storage, Network Mgmt, etc).

Provide regular formal training to lower level network and systems engineers.

Perform Quality Assurance testing of new voice products and services to be deployed on-net.

Support Sales and Professional Services Dept’s with pre-sales proposals and post-sales consulting.

Serve as Lead Engineer for Cisco VoIP and Network implementations.
