Support individuals and families who are homeless or are in imminent danger of being homeless and help them develop, monitor, and evaluate goals in order to stabilize their housing situation and move towards self-sufficiency. In charge of originating and carrying out each loan modification process through the full cycle which includes applying working knowledge of applicable mortgage and real estate laws and regulations, negotiation with financial institutions, the preparation and recording of legal documents, and closing mortgage transactions. Assemble and maintain detailed individual and confidential case files that include client information such as financial documentation required for assistance with the housing counseling program, plans developed to mitigate clients’ needs, reports and statistics used to analyze and monitor service delivery, evaluation on clients’ eligibility for loss mitigation options and other alternatives to avert foreclosure and other documentation required by state and federal entities. Develop and maintain contacts and familiarity with government, non-profit, landlords and other community-based organizations that serve the client population. Monitor clients’ progress toward meeting their housing needs or problems. Perform community outreach to educate the community about HCSNV programs and services, including state and Federal programs available for assistance Develop materials for and conduct seminars and workshops on financial literacy, budget counseling, first time homebuyer’s workshops and Foreclosure Prevention intake and counseling for the community at large. Work with HCSNV staff to develop program objectives, implementation strategies, and evaluation criteria which will refine and enhance service delivery to clients.
