In this role, I was a 1099 contract employee responsible for the planning permitting and completion of the construction remodel for the Heritage Venice Beach CA and DC, and VA locations all the remodels were completed as the locations were open for business, with minimal disruption to its customers.
Essen My Deli 2007-2009

Established and managed a New York style delicatessen located in Parkland, FL. I was responsible for all aspects of designing, constructing, and leading the business. The business performed well until the current economic troubles. Business declined over 50% after September 2008 and, though recently had shown signs of improvement the losses was not sustainable. I closed the business in July of 2009.

Senior Project Manager – 2003 - 2007
In this role, I was responsible for the construction and opening of numerous new stores, the remodel of 52 locations in Canada, as well as the construction of the new corporate headquarters in Chicago, IL.
Project Manager – 1997 – 2003
In this role, I was responsible for ‘in-market’ supervision of remodel projects and new location projects. I also supervised the ‘paint & powder’ program in 2003 managing over 150 projects to a successful conclusion. Additionally I was responsible for opening 39 new stores in Florida. All projects led during these six years achieved both on-budget and on-time completion. I also led the construction of an 850,000 square foot distribution center.
Project Coordinator/Visual Merchandiser – 1992-1997
Responsible for on-site supervision of the remodeling, opening of multiple store locations. This included management of planogramming, fixturing, personnel, critical path development as well as daily reporting to the corporate office re: project status and punchlist progress.

My primary responsibility was to directly lead three personnel in the management of nuclear and biological weaponry in West Germany. I was also responsible for the training of a battalion-sized unit in detecting nuclear, biological, and chemical weaponry testing.
Honors received during military service were Army Commendation Medal - Second Oak Leaf Cluster, Army Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and Honorable Discharge
