• Responsible for Environmental permitting and compliance of Air Quality, Water Quality, State Mine Reclamation, Liquid and Solid waste (Hazardous and Universal) Management, closure cost estimates and reclamation, Dust control Plan, Operation and Maintenance Plan, Storm water discharge permits, Spill Control and Counter measure plan and also in charge of Water and Wastewater treatment and reuse options.

• Piezometer installation project. Conducted probe analysis on existing stand pipe piezometers on tailing dam and prescribed the installation of new ones to determine the phreatic level of the dam. Supervised the drilling, vibrating wire and stand pipe piezometer installations project

• Managed and designed containments for solid and liquid waste in MPI’s newly built metallurgical lab. Proposed acid waste and other liquid waste collection design for the new lab and also monitored the liquid waste flow in the existing lab. A report with the design and prescription of ADEQ and DOT approved containers were handed out to the chief metallurgy for implementation.

• Played a key role in the design and preparation of APP (Aquifer Prevention Plan) for the mine through dams and diversion channel designs to control surface and ground water contamination.

• Air quality inspection and reporting to assess workers compliance to air quality regulations and permits.

Tasks & Achievements:

• Generated a topographical map of the research site through field sampling (GPS instrumentation) and Analysis (using Topcon tools and ArcGIS).
