Medical Assistant to Dr. Sam Assafeen. Responsibilities were to room all patients, obtain accurate vital signs, medical history, reason for visit in a timely manner and enter into electronic medical record. I also prepared and assisted in many medical procedures such as: skin lesion removals and biopsy, cyst removals and suturing, trigger point and joint injections, ear irrigations, paps, EKG's, spirometry tests, suture removals, dressing changes, etc. I also help to maintain patient registry by reviewing and notifying dr. of needed labs, or maintenance procedures. Responsibilities were to answer multiple line phone, take messages for doctors or nurses, schedule clinic, out-patient procedure, specialists appointments. Fill out lab orders with proper diagnosis and ICD-9 codes. Compose letters for doctors, and send all necessary medical records and referrals to specialists or medical supply companies. I also roomed patients, obtained accurate vital signs, and medical history. Prepared and assisted in procedures. Administered immunizations. Assisted lab in drawing blood, taking X-rays, performing necessary steps to obtain accurate urine samples for drug testings, and running various tests. Check drug sample closet for expired drugs on monthly basis. Call patients with messages from doctor, lab and/or test results. Call in medications to pharmacies. Document all information in patient's charts. Sterilize instruments. Keep exam rooms clean and stocked with supplies. Pull and file charts.

Clinique Consultant for large volume counter. Had to attend school to learn extensive product knowledge to be able to identify and sell correct product for client's individual needs. Responsible for making daily and monthly sales goals. Provide excellent customer service. Perform skin care and make up consultations. Make overs for counter promotions, regular client appointments, as well as wedding parties. Maintain a clean and well stocked counter. Order product and supplies.
American Eagle Outfitters: October 1999 to September 2001.
Assistant Manager of a very high volume clothing store. Responsibilities included conducting interviews and hiring. Training employees to treat customers like friends and sell to them by learning their wants and needs. Maintain a neat and productive store without neglecting the customer. Had to open and close the store and handle large deposits and change orders. Scheduling and maintaining payroll budget. Floor sets. Window displays. Receive shipments. Be constantly aware of loss prevention issues and train employees to do the same. Inventory twice per year. Weekly markdowns.
