Objective:

Individual seeking a position in the Professional Pastry Chef field, with chance for advancement and growth. I am capable of adapting to various challenges and applications, very fast learner. I am a hard worker and work well with others.

Qualifications and Skills:

I have been making and decorating cakes for family and friends for about 12 years. I can do 3D sculpted cakes and 2D cakes and theme cakes. I can work with buttercream, fondant, and whip icings. I know how to make candy figures out of fondant. I know how to make roses, borders, basketweave, candy, flowers, gumpaste flowers and more. Cake decorating, fundamentals of baking, plate presentation, food and beverage cost control, nutritional components of food and desserts, chocolates and confections and bakeshop productions and basic supervisory skills.

Wilton Cake Decoration Classes

Completed all four Wilton certificates for Courses 1, 2, 3 and 4. Completed Wilton certificate for Tiered Wedding Cake.

Earning an Associate of Science in Culinary Arts with a Pastry Chef Specialty

Participated at the 2010 Texas Culinary Games, held at the Sysco Corporate Culinary Center in Houston. Attended the Texas Chef Association 49th Chef’s Ball held at the Magnolia Hotel in Houston as a guest. Attended the Jake’s Foodservice show as a San Jacinto College Culinary Arts student held at the Reliant Center. Attended Sysco Foodservice show as a San Jacinto College Culinary Arts student held at the Reliant Center, participated at the University of Houston event, as a wine server. Attended Chef Smirnova, world known for his decorative fruit and vegetable carving, grand opening new catering business, in Bellarie Boulevard. Attending the PCA Annual Kickoff party, held at the Red Onion Café on Kirby. Attending the Houston Cake Decorating Extravaganza held at San Jacinto North College.

Club Member of and Awards and medals earned:

Member of the San Jacinto North College Culinary Club, member of the Houston Cake Club, member of the Guadalupanas of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church Baytown, Texas and a member of Sociedad Mutualista Miguel Hidalgo of Pasadena, Texas. And next semester will be a member of the New San Jacinto North College Pastry Club.
