Role and responsibilities:

Creating Use cases for the project after analyzing the requirements.

Developing test plans and test cases for all possible scenarios according to the Use cases.

Using Point of Sale system with COBOL as front end and UNIX as back end.

Role and responsibility:

Developed test plans, implemented simulation test situations and performed on-line web testing.

Test (black box and white box) responsibilities included writing, executing test cases using Microsoft Excel and Quality Center.

Performed both Manual and automated tests to conduct functional and regression tests on the application.

Used Win Runner for functional and regression testing of the application to make sure transactions and business processes work as intended and Developed TSL scripts.

Created GUI Maps to enable Win Runner to identify the various objects in the application. Worked with both ‘Global GUI map’ and ‘GUI map file per test’ modes.

Reported bugs to the development team and analyzed the actual and expected results. Closely tracked the defects following the defect life cycle.
