Since June 2010, I have been working for myself as an independent contractor providing coatings inspection services for various companies such as Moody International, Greenhorne and O’Mara and VHP Enterprises. These jobs consisted of offshore work (Gulf of Mexico) as well as bridge work in TN and NC.

Four week project beginning in Baltimore, MD and ending in Hawaii. Responsible for the third party inspection of 28 towers in Baltimore and 12 towers in HI, each consisting of four progressively tiered sections. Did both internal and external inspections.
D.Z. Atlantic, Rockhill S.C. Catawba Nuclear Power Station 01/15/10 - 04/02/10
One of 18 Inspectors in charge of coatings inspection on one mile of 42" service water pipe and 600' of 30" service water pipe. The service water pipe was to be blasted to SSPC-SP10. Then coated with 5 mils of primer, 65 mils of plasticor intermediate coat and 5 mils of topcoat. I, along with the other inspectors, was also in charge of logging in all material list and reporting directly with Duke Energy Representatives. All standard instruments were used as well as a high voltage spark tester to ensure coating was free from pinholes and ready for service.

Deployed to Camp Scania, Iraq in September 2008 to assist in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Performed heavy equipment operation for building of Camp roads and maintaining the MSR.

NACE Inspector overseeing the application of Polyurethane foam and Poly-Ethylene jacketing on 13 miles of Fusion Bond Epoxy (FBE) coated pipe for British Gas pipeline in Trinidad. Responsibilities included performing and witnessing adhesion testing and lab tests for foam density. Also, I performed coatings inspection on surface preparation and inner diameter coatings; as well as spot checks on first and last stick of shift runs and machine calibrations.
