TRAINING AND PROJECTS UNDERTAKEN

Project 1:

Title: Snag analysis and rectification of Flight data recorder system (FDR)

Organization: Hindustan Aeronautics limited (HAL), Overhaul Division, Bangalore.

Duration: 2 months.

Designation: Summer Internship.

Executive summary: This project involved the complete study of the HJT aircraft developed by HAL

in order to perform a snag analysis on its Flight Data Recorder (FDR) system. Rework

schemes errors such as cleaning, flipping the coil, turning the coil by some degrees, and also

most importantly the methods such as increasing coil perimeter and replacing it by a wire of

available gauge and material. were developed to overcome operational errors.

Project 2:

Title: Analysis of VTOL aircraft.

Organization: University Of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Dehradun.

Executive summary: A miniature VTOL aircrafts design process had been studied in which the numerical analysis

of the propeller and the v-tol aircrafts wing was done.

Project 3:

Title: Study of artificial circulation over a wing using a rotary mechanism.

Organization: University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Dehradun.

.Designation: Summer Internship.

Executive summary: This project studies the effect of inducing artificial circulation over a wing by a rotary

mechanism by which an additional lift is imparted to the wing / airplane and at the same

reducing the frictional drag on the airplane.

Trainings undergone:

1. Successfully completed the course on Auto-Cad & PRO-E at Central Institute of Tool Design.

2. Attended a workshop at IIT – Kanpur on gliders.

3. Attended a workshop on E-TRIX conducted by IIT- Bombay.

4. Attended the summer school held at University of Petroleum & Energy Studies on Remote Controlled and Control lined Glider.

5. Took part in placement selection improvement program held at UPES.

ACADEMIC ACHIEVMENTS

Published a paper in the INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE held by ICSCI, which has also been selected as the BEST PAPER of the session.

Participated in the Techkriti – 09, the Annual science and Technology festival of IIT – KANPUR.

Participated in Glider making competition held at IIT – KANPUR.

Participated in Water Rocket Competetion held at University of Petroleum and Energy Studies.

Won 1st prize in Thalash held at University of Petroleum & Energy studies.
