I am applying for the Diagnostic Medical Sonographer position listed on your website. I have long admired the hospital’s fine record in the health-care field, and the well-deserved reputation of their excellent medical staff. I would be honored to have the opportunity to continue my sonography career at such a fine institution.

I am extremely interested to work in your department at an entry level position. I am a recent graduate from Great Lakes Institute of Technology’s Diagnostic Medical Sonography program. With a solid base that I have from my courses in Abdomen and small parts, and Obstetric ultrasound, I plan to build my career. I have also completed a 28 week internship at Saint Vincent's Hospital. Working in the hospital I obtained the skills to manage the everyday challenges that come with the position. I work well as part of a team and have incredible enthusiasm to learn.

Additionally, I bring much more to my work than simply the technical knowledge required of an ultrasound technician. The people side of this job -- getting a good sense of the patient, explaining the procedure, relieving any anxiety, helping position patients or optimal images-- to me this is every bit as important as the technical know-how required of the RDMS.

I am RDMS eligible and plan on becoming registered in Abdomen and Small Parts and Obstetric and Gynecologic sonography as soon as possible.
