Oracle Collaboration Suite (OCS) by Designing, Developing and Carrying out Multi-Tier

Stress/Integration/System/Performance tests which simulate complex concurrent real world scenarios.

Job Description

Server Technology System Testing group work on Developing/Executing Database system tests on a variety of platforms and also to develop tools/framework to automate this process. As a member of this group, we implement new database features as they are designed (in 11g and beyond) and managing very large databases with thousands of concurrent users.

As a member of the Data Warehouse Team, designed and develop very large databases and stressful workloads to test Scalability and Performance of Oracle RDBMS Data Warehousing, Data Mining features and Oracle E-Business Suite. The role also involves developing scenarios to test Scalability of different Oracle Features like SQL Execution/Query Optimizer, Partitioning, Parallelism, RAC and Database Server Perfomance . Responsibilities include Schema design, Application workload design, coding to generate data and load, executing the automated stress tests to exercise different kinds of database features.

Detailed Responsibilities

- Design & Develop Highly automated Multi-tier stress test workloads simulating real-customer

scenarios including Database DB schema design, data generation, load generation .

- Reviewing New Functionality/features in Oracle Products, Develop Test Specs/Architecture,

Design, and Implement Complete Test Suite simulating real-production systems.

Working as Lead DBA for DataCentre at Mumbai, managing a team of DBAs and looking after Maintenance and upkeep of Oracle Database running on 9i, 10g and MS SQL Server 2003 on AIX 5L/RHEL AS/Windows2003 hosted on IBM and HP Servers and looking after allocation of system storage and planning future requirements, database backup and recovery, user & security management, performance tuning. Description: MIS database is Management reporting database which is sync with FARM database using dblink. Data pumped to MIS DB using nightly crontab jobs.

Description:

The database maintains worldwide metals standards & its grades and metals suppliers. The front end of the application is developed using the Borland’s C++ Builder. The program uses the Oracle 9i database at the backend.
