About the Project: KOMO Airfield Project (International Airport)

KOMO Airfield project is part of PNG LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) project.PNG LNG is an integrated development that includes gas production and processing facilities (6-6 million tons per year) in Southern Highlands and Western Provinces of Papua New Guinea.Komo, which is located approx 10 km south east of Hydes Gas Conditioning Plant (HGCP), has been selected as the site for the airport to support PNG LNG project.

The works include the construction of Komo Airfield to accommodate Dash 8 operations and limited Antonov AN 124 operations.

Job Profile

• Study of contract document. Follow up with consultant, vendor and client for drawing approval.

• Follow up with Procurement team and vendor for timely delivery of equipments.

• Preparation of shop drawings for installation of DG sets electrical & mechanical auxiliaries and switchboards.

• Testing of the soil resistivity and installation of Earth pits and testing resistance of earth electrode.

• Preparation of Construction Execution Procedures (CEP) and Inspection Test Plan (ITP) for Electrical equipments and to get the approval from client.

• Installation of DG Sets, Main switchboard, ALER switchboard, Lighting switchboards, Distribution boards and High mast as per approved drawings.

• Preparation of all testing and commissioning procedure documents, cable schedule daily progress report.

• Perform testing of DG Sets, Main Switchboard, and ALER Switch board.

• Scheme /logic checking of Electrical system.

ORGANIZATION: Delhi International Airport (P) Ltd.-GMR Group

Role: Associate Manager-Airport Development

Duration: 20th Oct 2008 to 14th April 2012.

• Installation, Testing and commissioning of 11kV/433V sub-stations, HT switchgear, PCC panels, MLDB, Earthing and Lightning system.

• Follow up with consultant, contactor for drawing approval and procurement and review of drawings & documents.

• Follow up with contractor & manufacturer for timely delivery of material.

• Follow up with contractor for Installation of Electrical equipment and Installation checking as per Installation drawing/documents.

• Witnessing testing of Electrical Equipments.

• Follow up with testing and execution teams for the commissioning of Electrical Equipment.

• Maintain Inspection request log and other documents.

Carbon Black-an engineered carbon is primarily used as reinforcing filler in rubber compounding. Continental Carbon India Limited (CCIL) was formed in October 2000 upon the acquisition by Continental Carbon Company (CCC), USA of the carbon black assets of Oriental Carbon & Chemicals Ltd. Since then the carbon black manufacturing facility in Ghaziabad, in the state of Uttar Pradesh, has been substantially refurbished. A 15 MW Waste Heat Recovery Power Plant, commissioned in 2008 is co-located with the manufacturing unit and supplies power to the Uttar Pradesh grid.

About the Project

Installation, Testing & Commissioning of 15MW Thermal Power Plant in parallel operation with existing 4.4 MW Power Plant with 11 MW Power Exporting facility to UPPCL.
