Summary of Qualifications
Mr. Briley has provided a variety of quality assurance / quality control (QA/QC) and design services to numerous projects throughout San Diego County. Mr. Briley has extensive experience with the laboratory testing and/or characterization of construction materials which include, but are not limited to: concrete, shotcrete, soil, hot-mix asphalt, concrete masonry units, reinforcing steel, fasteners, fire-proofing, aggregates, structural steel, and water. Mr. Briley has in-depth knowledge of standard test methods published by ASTM, AASHTO and Caltrans that pertain to the testing and characterization of various construction materials.
As a laboratory manager, Mr. Briley has headed various laboratory accreditation programs by certifying agencies such as the Cement and Concrete Reference Laboratory (CCRL), AASHTO Materials Reference Laboratory (AMRL), the California Department of Transportation (CALTRANS), the Division of the State Architect (DSA), and the City of San Diego. Additional laboratory duties include training for technicians looking to become certified materials testers by the CALTRANS District 11 office, conducting laboratory calculations, providing final laboratory reports, and providing preliminary review of laboratory test data.
Mr. Briley also has extensive experience with field testing operations and many other construction services. He has provided field testing services to large public work projects, high-rise towers, hot-mix asphalt pavement projects, and various other military construction related projects.
Mr. Briley has also provided project coordination, miscellaneous dispatch services and miscellaneous project management duties.
Mr. Briley additionally has experience with computer systems maintenance. He has experience in several aspects of computers included by not limited to software, hardware, system recovery, and system restoration. At previous jobs he has saved the company money and time by making intermediate to advanced repairs of systems. At his last job Mr. Briley worked directly with the corporate Microsoft Systems Engineer to manage the network and the server (Windows 2003 Server Edition).
