PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Rexel, Government Accounts Manager, 2008 to 2009 and 1997-2003

 Develop, negotiate, implement, execute, and manage all government contracts according to the FAR. Responsible for leading and negotiating a 5-year fixed cost contract worth $15 million with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for all electrical, and datacom supplies. Utilized the Federal Acquisition Requirement guidelines for all U.S. Federal Government contracts.

 Experienced in proposal writing in response to Federal Government Request for Proposals(RFP) and Request for Quotes(RFQ) via FedBizOpps

 Responsible for developing, leading, and negotiating a 5 year blanket contract for indefinite quantities of various electrical components with the GSA and DOD.

 From 1998 to 2003, I was responsible for increasing sales revenue by over $500,000 each year by selling a variety of electrical components and equipment to the Federal Government.

 Managed a staff of 6 and was responsible for developing an annual operating budget of $2 million. (Excluding materials)

 Developed strategic suppliers and negotiated contract agreements to reduce the number of suppliers from 60 to a group of 30 core vendors resulting in better supply efficiency and better cost savings for the customer, the Federal Government.

 Sourced and negotiated pricing for over 1000 items with an annual value of $10 million. This consists of the establishment of blanket purchase agreements and bulk commodity pricing agreements with vendors such as General Electric, Sylvania, Cutler Hammer, Rockwell Automation, and Levition Manufacturing.

 Coordinated with purchasing department in managing material and equipment needs for $6 million in annual government contracts.

 Conduct energy audit surveys in Federal Government buildings and shared energy-savings reports with key-decision makers.

 Evaluate and monitor customer operations to aid in identifying customer objectives, requirements and preferences.

 Create, implement, and monitor sales strategies while developing new government markets.

 Lead and coordinate sales meetings, and training seminars in order to improve interpersonal relationships and maintain personal and product knowledge.
