Responsible for the concept creation, organization of partners and investors, contract negotiation, engineering management, securing of all financing, and management of on-site construction and sales, including the administration and oversight of all subcontractors, for a successful 72-acre residential PUD in Oak Ridge. The Crossroads at Wolf Creek is a benchmark subdivision that has reached a self-sustaining point and is planned for a 7-year build-out.

Created and continue to manage a full-service corporation with a home and property maintenance division, a new home construction division, and a renovation and remediation division, specializing in site evaluation, estimation, and project management. Responsible for proper packaging, storage, and burial of various radioactive and hazardous materials for several facilities located in the Y-12 complex. Coordinated all shipments, on and off site, with Plant Shift Superintendant, Security, and Labor support. Ensured the proper characterization, packaging, and preparation for waste shipments leaving the Y-12 complex. Maintained all support documentation, and ensured that all requirements were met as defined in 49 CFR . Coordinated and evaluated all health physics and industrial hygiene data and support , as well as planned, scheduled, and supervised the union labor required to support all shipping and operations for these facilities. Participated in the initial implementation of the Conduct of Operations program for the Y-12 complex, and represented the Waste Management Group as the Conduct of Operations Agent. Functioned as the facility manager for several storage facilities and ensured that all engineering and safety controls were maintained and recorded. The facilities included PCB Storage facilities, RCRA Facilities, and fissile material storage sites. Under the direction of the Department manager, ensured that all facility emergency response, personnel safety and monitoring, and site regulation compliance procedures were met. Managed the operations and monitoring at Sanitary Landfill II and the Asbestos Landfill for Y-12.

Responsible for the organization and supervision of labor in the decontamination and demolition operations at the Sorrento Valley Plant nuclear fuel fabrication facility. Supervised several decontamination and demolition projects, including the proper characterization and packaging of the wastes generated. Continually ensured that all proper radiological protection requirements were met. Conducted training workshops on procedures, safety concerns, and the equipment operation used in deconstruction projects. Responsible for proper packaging and transportation of all radioactive material related to decontamination activities. Participated in the job and site characterization and conducted all pre-job briefings. Organized and managed site warehouse. Trained personnel and maintained documentation for emergency response and evacuation. Received, installed and operated the super compactor operations for all radioactive waste. Maintained all daily logs, waste generation and incident reports for day to day operations.

Ensured workplace safety in the use of radioactive material or monitored the exposure of radioactivity, in scientific research and decontamination efforts in the Bechtel Service Center. Assisted in the implementation of procedures and programs crafted by health physicists, through monitoring nuclear activity, collecting data and analyzing results. Participated in the design of safe work environments and performed site inspections to certify the safety of facilities. Operated spectrometers and gamma counters to determine levels of radiation. This helped in monitoring the work environment for fluctuations in radioactivity levels and the success of decontamination efforts. Additional duties included maintenance of equipment, creating reports and maintaining safety records.
