Transplant Immunology Laboratory, Histocompatibility Technologist
Responsibilities include DNA extraction by Quiagen EZ1 Extractor, PCR for Labtype rSSOP and Invitrogen SSP technologies, gel electrophoresis and analysis, and Labtype rSSOP by Luminex which are used in the evaluation of transplant patients. Other training included histocompatibility by CDC and antibody testing using ELISA, Tepnel Multiscreen, and Labscreen Single Antigen by Luminex. Duties also include quality control, technical troubleshooting, and continuing education.
