• Review oil and gas leases for contract litigation projects, searching for particular clauses and language in the leases and sort and classify the leases accordingly.

• Analyzed division orders for accuracy of decimal paid to AgriBank and to ensure that the division order did not attempt to change the terms of the corresponding oil and gas lease(s). Communicated with oil companies as necessary concerning any errors or discrepancies, set up corresponding division order records in AgriBank’s computer database, scanned copies of division orders and other pertinent documents into computer, signed division orders and returned them to oil companies. If language in the division order differed materially from language and terms of the oil and gas lease, signed and returned AgriBank’s own division order form, based on the NADOA Model Form.

• Examined leases to determine royalty rate, acreage covered, term and whether Pugh and other clauses were present.

• Ran expiring lease reports so that AgriBank could lease unleased acreage.

• Audited wells on which AgriBank was being paid to ensure we were being paid properly, using AgriBank’s records of payments received and production quantities reported, State government web sites to track production reported by payors to the states for the wells in question and web sites that track the average regional prices paid for oil and natural gas.

• Reviewed weekly drilling permit listings in North Dakota and Arkansas to determine what wells in which AgriBank had an interest had been newly permitted and set up records for these prospective wells in computer database.

• Completed quarterly searches and reports on wells that had switched from a permitted to a drilling or producing status and updated the status of these wells in computer database.

• Conducted computer searches and reports on wells for which payment or division orders were past due and then contacted oil companies to request payment and / or division orders.

Reviewed records and contacted oil companies when necessary to ensure that we were being paid the correct decimal interest on wells for which we had not received a division order.

• Ran reports to determine which payors were improperly deducting tax from royalty payments made to AgriBank, FCB, a tax exempt entity, and contacted those companies to stop the withholding and obtain a refund.

• Trained new employees.
