i. Veritas Storage Foundation for Windows (SFW) Storage Foundation for Windows offers storage management functionality and support for high availability in a Microsoft Cluster Service (MSCS) environment.

ii. Veritas Storage Foundation HA for Windows (SFW HA) Storage Foundation HA for Windows combines the storage management capabilities of SFW with the high availability functionality of Veritas Cluster Server (VCS).

With complete protection from the desktop to the data center, NetBackup offers a single console for management of all backup and recovery operations. The computer that needs the backup or restore is the client; the computer that manages the backup and retrieval of the data is the server. The client software on your computer sends the data to be backed up to the NetBackup server, which writes it to a storage device. When you start a restore operation, the client software on your computer requests the data from the NetBackup server, and the server sends the data to the client and can be restored.
