CODESARROLLO (Medellin - Colombia) 1998 -2000

Assessor and Consultant, Environmental Projects

Designed a “master” waste treatment program for a group of about 400 small and mid-size companies in the city of Medellin. It involved about 250 environmental treatment facilities for optimized treatment of gaseous, liquid and solids wastes. These 400 companies were divided in seven groups, as follows: food, textiles, footwear and leather, chemicals, steel, brick, rubber and plastics.

CITY OF RIONEGRO (Rionegro -Colombia) 1995-1997

Assessor and Advisor, Environmental Office

• Evaluated around 500 construction projects such as condominiums, commercial and health centers, apartments and recreation centers, with a combined cost of about $750 million dollars.

• Prepared the “Invitation to Bid” (ITB) and evaluated the bids for EPC (Engineering, procurement and construction) services for the upgrade of the potable water and sewage or wastewater systems for the city of Rionegro. This project had a cost of $ 8 billion dollars.

• Performed environmental evaluation for various construction projects involving roads, water reservoirs and water conduction systems. Total cost of the projects around $ 1.5 billion dollars.

GANADERO BANK (Puerto Berrio - Colombia) 1995

Hydraulics Engineer

Designed the potable water and sewage systems for a new five-story building.

CORNARE (El Santuario - Colombia) 1994 - 1995

Assessor and Consultant, Environmental Corporation

Evaluated 700 construction projects, including condominiums, shopping and health centers, apartment buildings, hotels, recreation centers, landfills and schools in 26 different towns. These projects had a combined cost of around $300 million dollars. Involved in the environmental impact assessment for many of these projects.

TOWN OF NARINO (Nariño - Colombia) 1992 - 1994

Planning and Public Works Director

• Evaluated about 200 construction projects, including apartment buildings, shopping centers, schools, hospital & health centers, aqueduct and sewage. These projects had a combined cost of around $600 million dollars.

• Designed and directed the construction of about 250 individual sewage systems for houses that were not practical to connect to the principal sewage system. This project had a cost of $10 million dollars.

• Approved around 130 construction licensees.

TOWN OF ABEJORRAL (Abejorral - Colombia) 1990 - 1992

Planning and Public Works Director

• Designed and directed the construction of waste treatment plant for the town, which benefited 175,000 inhabitants. This project had a cost of $30 million dollars.

• Designed the integral development plan of the town, with applicability for the next twenty years.

• Supervised and controlled the construction of public works such as roads, aqueducts, sewages, and landfill under local regulations and permits. These projects had a cost of $100 million dollars and benefited 300,000 inhabitants.

STATE OF ANTIOQUIA (Medellin - Colombia) 1988 - 1989

Assessor and Consultant, State Planning Office

Successfully designed and directed the construction of landfills for 125 towns, which benefited about17 million inhabitants. These projects had a combined cost of $180 million dollars.
