Independently administers general, regional, and conduction anesthesia. Regional includes subarachnoid, epidural, labor epidural, I.V. Regional for all surgical procedure; including i.e. general, trauma, neurosurgical, obstetrical, pediatric, cardiac, orthopedic, urological, opthalmological, cardiovascular, and dental surgery. Administers epidural and spinal narcotics.

May 2009-Present- As a doula/labor coach, my services included infertility work ups, the pregnancy/ prenatal period, labor, delivery, postpartum, breastfeeding, and care of infants. With over 42 years of experience as a registered nurse, 36 years as a CRNA, I have participated in over 1560 births by c-section utilizing general, spinal, and epidural anesthetics. Within the last nine months, I have been available to seven babies, with the last pair of twins being born Friday, July 19, 2011.

June 2, 2009- Present, I volunteer at Happy Trails Before & After School Care as the nurse/head teacher/administrator. My daughter owns and operates this California State licensed facility for 30 school aged children, grades K-6. She needed me at this time, as her main helper prior to this time was diagnosed with lymphoma.

June 30, 2006-June 1, 2009-Staff CRNA for Selma Community Hospital. I worked with 4 CRNAs and participated in the ON-CALL rotation.

July 5, 2005-February 24, 2006- Locum tenes anesthesia care provider through Bay Area Anesthesia for Madera Community Hospital. I worked with 3 Anesthesiologists and 2 CRNAs. I also mentored one nurse anesthetist candidate in the last 5 months of her degree program through Samuel Merritt University. The caseload included general, orthopedics, OB/GYN, bariatric ENT, and urology. I also participated in the ON-CALL rotation.

October 2004-July 5, 2005- I volunteered at Happy Trails Before & After School Care. My daughter owns this State licensed child care facility licensed for 30 school aged children, from K-6 grades.

Not related to my anesthesia or any continuing education units, I took a 2 week long course to become an OMBUDSMAN for the State of California specifically working with clients at skilled nursing facilities and board and care homes. This was also a volunteer position. I logged 28-32 hours per week from April 2005 to September 2005. I requested a leave of absence due to my increased workload at Madera Community Hospital.

1985-October 2004-South Sacramento Medical Center, 6600 Bruceville Road, Sacramento, CA 95823

-Implement independent decision making in anesthesia procedures and patient care; interacts with 20 other nurse anesthetists and 14 MD anesthesiologists; assists with preoperative consulting and post-operative care and pain management anesthesia supplemental procedures monitor. The Anesthesia department provided in-house coverage 24/7/365 from the hospital's opening in October 1985. Obstetrics were added in 1994.

1984-1985- On-call/full-time staff nurse anesthetist, Kaiser Permanente San Francisco Medical Center, 2200 Geary Boulevard, San Francisco, CA 94115

-Implement independent decision making in anesthesia procedures and patient care; interacted with eight other nurse anesthetists and five MD Anesthesiologists; performs 24 hour coverage as required for surgery/obstetrical services. Requested transfer to Kaiser Permanente South Medical Center upon its opening.

1980-1984- On-call/24 hour staff nurse anesthetist, Humana Hospital, Dallas, TX in house obstetrical anesthesia coverage surgery included general, orthopedic, gynecological, pediatric, as requested by surgeons. Resigned upon husband's transfer to Alameda Naval Air. Eight Staff nurse anesthetists, 10 MDAs

1979-1983- On-call/ full time staff nurse anesthetist,Methodist Hospital, Dallas, TX. In-house and emergency call to cover departmental needs for surgery-obstetrical services including transplant and trauma patients. Interacted with six nurse anesthetists, 15 MDAs. Resigned position when the U.S. Navy transferred husband to Alameda Naval Air Station.

1979-1979- Full-time staff nurse anesthetist, Arlington Memorial Hospital, Arlington, TX. Obstetrical and Surgical coverage as requestedper surgeons. Resigned to accept position that included major trauma, transplant, obstetrical and orthopedic cases. Closer to residence in the Dallas, Ft. Worth Metroplex. Interacted with three staff nurse anesthetists, twelve MDAs.

1976-1979- Full time staff nurse anesthetist, West Jefferson General Hospital, Marrero, LA. In house, 24 hour coverage, obstetrical, surgical including trauma, neurosurgical, cardiovascular, E.N.T., opthalmologic burn/plastic reconstructive surgery. Interacted with twenty other nurse anesthetists, and four MDAs. Resigned, husband transferred to Dallas Naval Air Station.

1973-1975- Full time staff operating room nurse West Jefferson General Hospital, Marrero, LA. Nine operating rooms, three radiology procedure rooms. Scrub and circulating nurse-trauma, E.N.T., opthalmology, burn/plastic reconstructive surgery, neurosurgical, orthopedic, urological, cardiovascular, (no open hearts) and obstetrical. Resigned to attend nurse anesthesia school.

1970-1973- Full time staff operating room nurse- Lutheran General Hospital, Park Ridge, IL. Scrub circulate all surgical specialties. Resigned to transfer to New Orleans, LA area. Husband transferred to New Orleans Naval Air Station.
