EXPERIENCE

Sr. RF Engineer LTE/ CDMA (MetroPCS, Ericsson) South Florida Market 02/01/2011- Present

• Responsible for the CDMA/LTE capacity design in the South Florida market through new site build and six sector conversion.

• Identified and documented the best candidates for new capacity sites by analyzing customer traffic and location information and evaluating existing site coverage and design. Sought potential site candidates according to prescribed criteria.

• Converted traffic overloaded sites from three sectors to six sectors by researching clutter and site information and analyzing customer trends, traffic habits, and location. Designed six sector sites in order to maintain or improve existing coverage and offload traffic.

• End-to-end troubleshooting throughout the LTE networks is further enhanced by adding solution to our current deployment scope

• Overall coordination responsibility rests with the Ericsson program team to ensure that the pre-launch integration activities are not impacted by post-launch efforts.

• Ensuring LTE functionality and uniformity of the user experience across all markets.

• Consistent expectations and deliverables as well as standard reporting for all markets.

• Integration call test review, Sector Handoff Test (Intra) & DL/UL session to ensure accuracy and consistency, the Site Integration call test reviewed with Ericsson engineers for correct PCI and successful call setup for every integrated site prior to the shakedown.

• Sector Handoff Test & DL/UL session test validates intra-sector handoff in a clockwise and counter-clockwise direction. FTP DL and UL sessions are performed during the clockwise and counter-clockwise drives respectively. Over the air Data throughput is checked to ensure that it is in-line with expected backhaul performance. Sector azimuths are also checked.

• Successful Site shakedowns tracked in a shared tracker database that will be maintained and updated daily. A site will have passed a shakedown when the Sector PCI Verified, Call setup successful, Intra-sector handoffs successful, Azimuths verified criteria have been met

• Work with Ericsson in-market point of contact and with the local MetroPCS RF team. Duties and responsibilities include radio network performance monitoring, analysis, troubleshooting and reporting.

• Monitor eNodeBs and troubleshoot issues (alarms, configurations, T1 reports), perform system parameter changes, open/track eNodeB related tickets and coordinate with site techs for resolution. Run scripts for changes provided by Ericsson.

• Troubleshoot air interface, system and network issues to achieve the best end-user experience with Identify radio network hardware issues, Resolve parameter integrity issues, Throughput, Latency, Improve cell capacity and performance by maximizing SINR, Improve end user experience.

• During the initial phase of the LTE network tuning activities Alarm Clearing, Parameter Consistency Checks, Network parameters Audit, Neighbor list checked and loaded, Site Shakedowns and Configuration updates

• LTE Parameter settings consistency check to ensure that the power control, handover parameters, Session Continuity, Paging and Custom eNodeB parameters are properly set.

• Follow the LTE KPIs and monitored the Call Failure Rates, Session Failure Rate, DL Application Throughput (Mean, Peak), Handover Success Rates.
