Versatile operations problem-solver for managing quality, process optimization and supply chain management in high-tech electrical components and printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing. Significant record of containing costs while increasing customer satisfaction and profitability.

I am a data-driven decision maker with a passion for sustainable improvements. Based on operational and manufacturing experience gained at innovators such as Intel and Dialogic (from startup phase to Intel purchase), I am able to contribute with a skill set consisting of:

Managing change to improve efficiency in diverse business environments

Implementing total quality transformations to improve capabilities

Developing creative and cost-effective solutions to global manufacturing challenges

Mentoring and directing employee development to support the business plan

Capable of rapidly synthesizing information and making timely decisions. Dynamic leadership skills combined with team building talents. Rose through progressive management positions in Operations and Senior Staff in areas as diverse as Manufacturing Engineering, New Product Development and Quality Assurance oversight.

SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Directed and improved corporate supply chain program. Intel revenue stream required new introductions for high-mix, low-volume commercial product line. Developed high-level dashboard indicators. Exceeded supply chain performance metrics of 55% gross margin, 95% on-time-to-commit with >50% same-day shipments, 800DPM out-of-box quality, 97 days of inventory (distributor model) and repair depot average turn time of less than 5 days.

Led company quality assurance function. Intel/Dialogic sought oversight and improvement in maturing QA processes using ISO9000. Led effort to apply metrics across the board. Used process when Japanese OEM reported Intel PCB assemblies were faulty. Identified root cause as Tier 1 subcontractor design issue and had process changed. Presented to senior management in Tokyo and client took additional product types.

Developed vendor management program to halt revenue shortfall. Division lost international revenues after being acquired. Analysis of corporate and European sales groups showed VAR support was not meeting customer needs. Took corrective actions using comprehensive ROI model and recovered revenue run rate in just 90 days.

Headed successful global compliance program. ROHS environmental initiatives impacted 85 Intel PCB assemblies and accessories, potentially affecting overseas revenue. Led divisional initiative and program managed the technical, procurement, manufacturing and engineering processes, as well as validation activities.

Created innovative design for testing. Dialogic as a startup needed cost-effective reliability testing. Designed software/hardware PC multiplexer modules, allowing one PC to control 32 PCBs in a heat chamber. This required transmission line theory and IBM PC bus signal knowledge and software drivers. Still in use today at repair depot.
