PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Having 17- years of cumulative experiences as a Lab chemist, supervisor in the petro-chemical field and production chemist with extensive analytical activities in various branches.

Experience Details:-

1) From March 2008 to till Date

Presently working with M/S KREMENCO(Kuwait refinery maintenance and engineering company as a Lab chemist.

Job responsibilities:-

1). To perform analytical chemistry assays based on new (ASTM)and existing methods.

2)Operating analytical instrumentations viz HPLC(HACHDR-2000),KFTitrator, particle size analyzer,

3)Developing,establishing and validating analytical testing methodology used to control raw meterials,production intermediates and final products.

4)To write technical reports to document analytical methods and transferring documented analytical methods to the QC department.

5)To set up new (or)existing analytical methods for identifying compounds.

6)Qualitative and quantitative identification of petrochemical products(OctaneC8-C20).

7)Wet chemical analyses of petrochemical parameters like Br-index and P-toluic acid(C8H8O2).

8)Spectroscopy(IR,UV),reporting scientific results to developed new analytical techniques for the analysis of petrochemical compounds especially in hydro carbons.

CRUDE OIL ANALYSIS

9) (i)Analysis of salt in crude oil by using Meitech 25A8-(ii) analyzer.

(ii)Bottom sediment and water(BS&W),Gravity, Viscosity,Density,Asphaltene in crude,Sulphur in crude.

EFFLUENT WATER ANALYSIS

Oil content in water by using Genesys 20-spectrometer also using S316 -solvent and Horiba OCMA-350IR- Spectro meter and waste water samples of different streams :- iron(Fe2+ferrous;Fe3+ferric)Copper(Cu), Hydrazine(NH2-NH2), NH3, Si, Ca2+,Mg2+,Zn2+,Na+,Ni2+,Paladium,Cr2+,PH,Conductivity,Turbidity,TotalHardness,Alkalinity,DO(by CHEMETs test kit).

More over, oil in water by using S-316 solvent and Horiba OCMA-350IR-Spectrometer,besides,Turbidity,Chloride,SO4(2-),PO4(2-),FRC,TDS,TSS,For Chloride ions (Argento metric method& Mohr’s Method) by the addition of AgNO3 followed by K2CrO4was the indicator resulting the colour changes was observed.(yellow to brick red).Which was the end point to measure the Chloride ion present in the whole of the solution, initially a silver-cromate(Ag2CrO4) ppt will be formed as a red colour.then changed in to brownish grey(AgOH)(PH will be 7-10&>10 by Mohr’s).

2AgNo3 +K2CrO4 Ag2CrO4+2KNO3(Red) PH <7

AgNO3+-Cl AgCl(White PPt) PH >10

More over, the other ions will be calculated by the strength of the ions present is proportional to the intensity of scattered transmittance of light was observed by using spectrophotometer.

Gas and condensate analysis

H2S-Gas by Tutwieler methode.

2)From August 2003 to January 2008

Worked for Issojet burner pvt ltd &Issojet petro chemicals as a Supervisor for their various Chemical Process, {(e.g.Production of hexa methylene tetra-amine(C6H12N4), Amine (-NH2),Amide(-CONH2),Anilene(C6H5-NH2)Sulphur recovery unit.(H2SO4), Formaldehyde unit(-H-CHO) .

Job responsibilities:-

1) Starting my carrier as a Trainee Supervisor and trained all the employees for proving on job as well as task related training.

2) Maintaining Safety in the entire task carried out by us.

3) Maintaining MSDS record for all the chemicals.

4) Work independently to develop, implement and monitor HSE Plans.

Here I joined as a Junior Production Chemist the company was engaged in producing bulk drugs viz para-chloro benzoic acid(C7H5O2Cl),para-nitro benzoic acid(C7H5O4N) and Di-chloro benzoic acid(C7H4O2Cl2) and then worked as a Shift In charge, in the production of Aqueous Formaldehyde (-H-CHO)having two units with two different technologies Capacity of each unit was 50MTPD.The First Unit was being operated above HEL of Methanol air mixture and the Second Unit was being operated below LEL of methanol.
