Work experience

After some experience as employee in few Companies of the Bologna surroundings, in August 2004 I won a research fellowship at the Bologna University Physical Chemistry Department and in October 2007 a Ph.D scholarship at the Padua University Food Chemistry Department. These activities are described in detail as follows:

January 2004 – August 2004. Internship as R&D and QC technician at AGGF Cosmetic group in the Bologna area. Chemical and microbiological quality control and formulation of creams, make-up products and raw materials; production plant support and analysis of water;

September 2004 - December 2007. Fellowship in the Raman spectroscopy group at the Physical Chemistry department of the University of Bologna.

Main co-worker in a research project concerning the molecular properties of solvents by means of the

Raman and IR spectroscopy;

January 2008 – December 2010 PhD student at the Food Analytical Chemistry department of the University of Padua.

I successfully dealt with the industrial technological transfer.

In particular, I developed and validated a number of innovative analytical NMR and chromatography-based methods right for the improvement of the industrial quality control by request of some Italian food companies. I acquired an in-depth practice of the most advanced instrumental techniques used in the industrial QC labs (which are listed in the section “Analytical techniques competence”) and statistical data treatment.

January 2011- present. Sales area manager at SIS group srl, Padua.

Working as account and sales manager for HACCP pest control services in the Bologna area.

Analytical techniques competence. Good practical knowledge of the analytical laboratory current tools and of the following techniques: NMR, EPR, chromatography (HPLC and GC), IR, Raman, UV, fluorescence, Karl Fischer, Soxhlet, viscosimetry, reometry and titration methods.

Informatics competence. Thorough knowledge of the Microsoft Office package and a number of specific software for data treatment.

Language competence. English: good written and spoken. French: basic.
