Delphi – Thermal Systems, Juarez, Mexico (2006-2009)
Compressor Project Director
Implemented $56M relocation project, moving a 200,000 sq. ft manufacturing facility from Ohio to Mexico. Relocated and retooled equipment with $120M annual sales. Directed all functional areas, exceeding time line and budget goals.
•Received Award of Excellence - Thermal Systems Division - Project Execution
•Saved $1.5 M by completing move ahead of schedule

Managing Director
Directed implementation of $71M start-up project, establishing a 150,000 sq ft a/c compressor facility in Central Europe producing 1.2 M compressors per year. Involved five precision machine lines, assembly, test and support facilities. Implemented Lean manufacturing systems throughout the facility. The project was a joint venture with Calsonic Corporation of Japan.
•Increased capacity by 12.5 % above project levels

•Designed and implemented State of Art data collection system, providing real time plant performance.

Delphi Harrison – Calsonic, Douai, France (1995-1999)
Manufacturing Manager
Established first GM a/c compressor facility in Europe. Implemented multi-million dollar start-up project working with Japanese partner Calsonic Corporation. Managed building construction, hiring, and training of personnel and oversaw daily business operations.
•Purchased and re-tooled five precision machining and ass'y lines from Japan and relocated to France.
•Utilized hourly selection process hiring 9% of applicants.
•Increased capacity by 18% above the project level.
•Implemented pay / unit for cutting tools, significantly reduced per unit cost and eliminated inventory-carrying cost.
•Established the “Model Management Process” for Cutting Tools for compressor facilities.

HARRISON DIVISION - GM (Bascharage, Luxembourg) 1993 – 1995
European Quality Manager
Served as first European Quality Manager for Harrison Division. Oversaw implementation of Divisional Quality Strategy within the European manufacturing and design facilities.
•Obtained ISO 9000 certification for all European facilities prior to January 1996 and QS 9000 certification by January 1998.
•Implemented a communication project facilitating worldwide communications.
•Established an air conditioning compressor warranty analysis facility in Europe.
