Synopsis

The Fibcom 6350 Switch Nodes are small-to-medium size SDH cross-connect. Apart from cross-connect configurations they can be used for ADM configurations, ring interconnect, etc. Available interfaces for the 6345/50 Switch Nodes are STM-64, STM-16, STM-4, STM-1 optical and electrical, Ethernet. Network Elements consisting of one high density self-equipped with admin. +Interface + matrix + synchronization Function. A small range of very compact, high capacity matrix modules, optimized for TDM, WDM traffic, providing VC-12, VC-4 Connectivity/protection Likewise, mapping of 2/34/45 Mbit/s PDH into SDH is done with Tellabs 6340 FP4.0 front-end. Interconnect Via expansion interface.

Contribution

• I worked and tested AU4 NIM (Non-Intrusive monitoring).Non-intrusive (Listen only) monitoring means monitoring of alarms without terminating the signal.

• I worked and tested SIM1e Equipment protection (4:1) protection. Equipment protection is a mechanism where if there is any fault in SIM1e Then it switches to protection module without any hitting of traffic.

• Currently working on MSP(Multiplex Section Protection)features for FP4.0
