Accordance with Departmental guidelines.

payroll records equating to between
$80,000 to $100,000 bi-weekly.
Reviewed fact files of Correctional Officers,
Sergeants and Lieutenants to ensure required
training was completed in accordance with policy.
Train Correctional Lieutenants in the duties
incumbent upon a Correctional Captain.
Zone Captain:
Reported directly to the
Superintendent of a 3,188 bed
Medium Security Correctional Facility
in reference to external security matters
pertaining to the operation of the Prison.
Insured the perimeter alarms and cameras were
operating as prescribed in Departmental policy.
Receive off grounds labor crew assignments from the
Superintendent and disseminate assignments to
the Perimeter Lieutenant for implementation.
Evaluate security concerns related to off
grounds labor projects in local Communities.
Community relations with Government
Officials such as Mayors, County Commissioners
Councilpersons, County Sheriffs, Police Chiefs,
State Police Commanders and Park Superintendents,
in reference to work projects in their areas.
Supervise entry control point into the Facility
and instruct subordinates in the proper use of
X-ray and metal detection equipment.
Trained the Perimeter Lieutenant to perform
Zone Captain duties.
Lead Captain: Second in Command of
all Correctional Custody Staff at a 3,188
bed Medium Security Correctional Facility.
Acted as the Custody Supervisor in the
absence of the Correctional Major.
After review and proof reading for correctness,
approve or reject requests for the discipline of
Correctional Officers, Sergeants and Lieutenants.

Correctional Captains to the Superintendent or his
Assistants for final disposition of Pre-depravation
hearing requests on Correctional Staff.
