Research Intern, National Energy Technology Laboratory, U.S. Department of Energy, Morgantown, WV.

• Designed coal sequestration experiment with high pressure vessel to find a means of extracting more methane from coal.

•Organized several large databases of data, both current and previous.

•Studied microstructures of coal using new in-house methods and advanced microscopy techniques to model the change in physical deformation after exposure to surface air. Findings to be submitted for publication in “International Journal of Rock Mechanics and Mining Sciences” 2010. June 2009-
