An independent MRI and CAT Scan service and equipment provider positioned as the largest independent service provider within the industry in the MRI and CT. Genesis has become a $45,000,000 company in its 10 years of existents.

Director, Support Service

• Managed Purchasing, Part Sourcing, Customer Response Center and Service activities in the support of medical equipment in the Ascension Health system.

• Achieved a number of mile stones for the company and put into place many strategic plans that saved millions of dollars, and are still in place today. This function grew from approximately $600,000 in part purchases to over $25,000,000 in my six years at the helm, while increasing the level of customer satisfaction.

• Creation of a medical part sourcing function that saved $3,300,000 in parts expense, without any loss in customer satisfaction, in the first two years.

• Negotiated all national service contracts with vendors such as GE Healthcare, Siemens, Philips, Varian, Baxter, and Coulter. In the first three years of operation, contract negotiations’ totaled $1,200,000 in cost reductions without any loss in contract coverage.

Ascension Health (TriMedx), Indianapolis, Indiana 2000 – 2006

Ascension Health is the nation's largest Catholic and largest nonprofit health system with over 80 hospitals and related healthcare facilities.

Director, Clinical & Radiology Engineering

• Coordinated all activities related to the maintenance, repair, and budgeting of biomedical and imaging equipment used by St Vincent’s 13 hospitals

• Designed, implemented and successfully managed the first ever Radiology Engineering program that was responsible for saving the system millions of dollars by eliminating costly service contracts and bringing the service in-house.

• Recruited, hired, trained staff, and evaluated employee performance.

• Maintained a “Best in Class” Clinical Engineering and Radiology Engineering departments while expanding services to other hospitals in central Indiana.

• Successfully grew department from a staff of twenty-three to a staff of over fifty.

• Reduced costs by an average of 32% annually while increasing revenues by an average of 14%.

• Created and implemented a Laboratory Engineering Department that saved $130,000 in contract reductions the first year alone

St. Vincent Health / Ascension Health, Indianapolis, Indiana 1994 – 2000

The state’s largest healthcare employer, with 16 health ministry’s serving forty-five counties in central Indiana.

Service Manager

• My responsibilities included service of Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance (MR), X-Ray, and other Diagnostic Imaging equipment and services to Hospitals and medical facilities in this area.

• Managed territory in Indiana and Kentucky.

• Successfully developed territory from 112th position to 25th in first two years.

• Increased sales from $68,000 of previous year to $1.5 million in the first year, 2.4 million the second year and 3.1 million the third.

• Developed and implemented a strategic business plan that captured 32% of the market share in my territory (company average was 18%) and turned this territory into one of the most successful in the St. Louis district.

• Saved major corporate accounts and expanding orders that ensured business for at least three years Picker “Gold Circle of Excellence” winner in 1994 and 1995 (Top 10 sales people)

Prior to being promoted at Picker International based on sound professional performance, valuable experience was gained as I successfully served as a CT and MRI Service Specialist (Engineer) and Sales Manager. Served for many years on the CONSORTA Capital Equipment Sub-committee.
