Applied lean manufacturing principles to increase efficiency of every phase of production resulting in higher level of customer responsiveness.

Performed waste reduction and quality control audits and streamlined manufacturing flow to increase profitability.

Worked with painting, foam insulating, packaging and shipping departments to identify quantifiable problems and took short term actions to address immediate issues and studied the root cause for permanent correction of the problem.

Introduced flexibility in product design and manufacturing processes.

Managed extensive time and motion studies to eliminate defect and reduce final production cost. Analyzed the acquired data to develop software and to accurately determine various product costs.

Conducted technical analysis of product output performance to increase efficiency and meet customer expectations.

Developed dedicated software to simulate products performance and regenerate and verify catalog data.

Managed CNC programming of manufacturing units utilizing Pro/Engineer generated designs for various high volume sheet metal operations. Preserved value and quality with less work by adopting Toyota Production System of working in cells and reduction of inventory.

Performed a liaison role between engineering department and manufacturing plants to ensure timely project implementation by preparing reports and bill of materials lists and engineering support and providing direction and supervision to enhance efficiently.

1994 -1998 TITUS - Product Manager

Established product line strategy and business plans. Developed and maintained competitive product pricing.

Developed preliminary engineering reports including alternatives analysis, recommendations, and engineering cost estimates.

Attended and participated in the preparation and presentation of technical papers in industry symposiums and trade shows. Developed technical courses and administered training seminars for company sales representatives.

Provided technical support to internal sales department and national clients. Developed capacity plans and capital investment justifications for multi-million dollar projects.

Coordinated and provided technical direction to the scope of projects; providing technical know- how on all project aspects associated with conceptual engineering designs, and preparation of contracts for construction.

Set up equipment to match specifications and testing tolerances.

Academic Research

Kansas State University

Performed an analytical study of lathe machine cutting operations and developed a computer simulation of material removal process. This research was focused on stress analysis of cutting tools at different angles and determination of stress distribution on the cutting edge at various stages under increasing load condition to optimize efficiency and prevent fatigue and failure.

ASHRAE and University of Colorado

A study of isothermal throw of air jets with various expansion zones and outlet configurations. An in depth analysis of throw patterns, terminal velocities and K factors to compare experimental results with existing data. This research concentrated on indoor air quality and performance in the design of air distribution systems as well as effect of mixing diffusers on air throw.
