Key Tasks:

• Structural analysis and design of different bridge types (Concrete Girders Bridges, Steel Plate Girders Bridges,.. ).

• Load Rating Calculations for Bridges: Perform studies to evaluate the adequacy of various structural components of standing bridges to carry predetermined live loads, for the Washington Department of Transportation (WSDOT).

• Preparing conceptual and detailed design calculations, layouts, sketches.

Key Tasks:

• Study and analysis the project design documents and drawings.

• Write daily report of work progress in assistance with the civil engineer.

• Check the equipment and material specification against the project documents.

• Overview orientation on the project design by the company staff that include Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Planning department.

• Inspect structural works to ensure conformance with the shop drawings and project specifications.

• Provide comments and recommendations on the contactor’s works.

• Review and understand the contractors’ method statements and material specifications.

• Supervise the execution of the constructional works.

• Overseeing the selection and requisition of materials for use in the construction.

GRADUATION PROJECT

December 2009 - June 2010 Bel Rasheed Residential Tower ,(UAE).

PROJECT SUMMARY – Structural design of 32-storey tower that consist four parking floors and 28 residential typical floors with a total footprint area of 2040 m2. (Based on ACI318-08 and IBC2006 codes)

Key Tasks:

• Selection of structural system including the selection of flooring system, vertical framing system, and lateral load resisting system.

• Design of floor systems to carry the design gravity loads using RAM Concept V8i, SAFE V14.

• Perform 3D dynamic analysis for seismic loads using ETABS V9.5 (modal response spectrum analysis).

• Design of vertical framing system to sustain gravity loads

• Design of lateral load resisting system to carry wind and seismic loads.

• Design of piles foundations system using STAAD Foundation V8i.
