Led development efforts to create a automated application to generate weekly matches for site members and send feed to Blue Hornet email web service which involved coordinating with and directing external human resources. Also led project to create zip code based geo data and provide functionality to calculate distances based upon this data. VHA Senior Application Developer - Irving TX 03/2007-01/2009

Architected and developed solutions for VHA s internet and intranet using Visual Studio .NET 1.1 3.5 SQL Server 2000 - 2008 Aqua Logic 5.x 6.x SharePoint MOSS 2007 HTML Java Script MicroStrategy Onyx Oryx Windows 2000-2008 SOAPUI Visual SourceSafe IIS Web Services and MS Visio Enterprise. Led efforts to create configuration methodology for internet and intranet web applications. The Majority of the work involved four major projects:

First project was migrating VHA public internet site from Aqua Logic 5.x to Aqua Logic 6.x. This required rewriting several key customer facing applications to remove dependencies on 3rd party custom components based on custom modified Aqua Logic 5.x API s where application worked with Aqua Logic 6.x standard API s. Also supervised the efforts of 3 consultants. Several applications involved extensive integration with MicroStrategy web reports. Led efforts in coordinating with and directing efforts of eight human resources from other groups.

Second project was architecting and serving as principle internal technical resource in outsourcing VHA internal and external calendar application. Was responsible for developing detailed technical requirements for integration with VHA internet and intranet applications. Also developed custom encryption class libraries encryption web service and authentication web service. Used Case Complete to document and communicate requirements and design information. Led and directed efforts of multidisciplinary team of six composed of VHA and vendor personnel.

Third project was migration of existing intranet solution to SharePoint MOSS 2007. Key contributor in designing infrastructure and governance methodology. Responsible for architecting and developing several key applications in SharePoint MOSS 2007. Led effort to integrate MicroStrategy web reports into SharePoint MOSS 2007 as well as architect and develop replacement for 3rd party MicroStrategy financial dashboard. Led and directed efforts of team of nine VHA personnel.

Forth project was designing and developing key enhancements to VHA custom business intelligence application for analyzing customer spending. This was the cornerstone customer facing application on VHA s internet site. Led and directed efforts of team of four VHA personnel.

Craftlogic Software (Client Intuit) Senior Consultant - Frisco TX 07/2006-02/2007

Architected and developed solutions for Intuit s Interactive Gateway Solutions credit card processing gateway making use of Visual Studio .NET 1.1 and 2.0 ASP.NET 1.1 and 2.0 C# 1.1 and 2.0 SQL Server 2005 Web Services XML SOAP Microsoft Enterprise Library Application SOAPUI 1.6 MSMQ and Visual SourceSafe. All projects were developed to conform to the credit card industry PCI standards. Work revolved around three major projects.

First project was documenting current gateway in terms of servers clusters software applications and interdependencies among them; and then designing and documenting architecture for an Active-Active duplicate site geographically removed from the current site. Work included identifying which applications would need to be changed to conform to the new arrangement and designing what those changes would be. Conversion and rollback plans were also developed. The current gateway processing over two billion dollars annually and the new dual location gateway was to be designed to be capable of several times that.

The second project was architecting and developing a secure web service to process all of Intuit s internally generated credit card and electronic fund transfer orders. These orders are currently about fifteen million orders per year. Web service was SOAP based and comforted to all of the credit card industry PCI standards and was a key component of external mandate for Intuit to become PCI compliant in all their internal credit card transactions. Also participated in company wide team to gather and document requirements for entire PCI compliance initiative.

The third project was requirements gathering architecting and developing a windows service and set of class libraries to enable the logging of Interactive Gateway Solutions .NET applications to Intuit s main application written in Java. The primary focus was to move logging messages from MSMQ to Java Message Service and to translate the messages to the Intuit corporate standard.

Proceed Technical Resources (Client Intellinex) - Technical Architect - Frisco TX 03/2006-06/2006

Architected and developed prototype solutions for Intellinex s Learning Management Application Server Provider application used by over 50 large companies including several fortune 500 clients. Worked with technical architecture team to design framework of next generation Learning Management product using design patterns object oriented development Windows 2003 Visual Studio .NET 2.0 ASP.NET 2.0 C# 2.0 SQL Server 2005 Web Services XML and Ajax nDoc nAnt Microsoft Enterprise Library Application Blocks FXCop Visual SourceSafe and nUnit. Lead architect in initial analysis and design of the following pieces of the framework for Intellinex s next generation product: logging configuration management state management and exception handling. Lead architect in creating detailed design and working prototype for custom state management class library using Visual Studio .NET 2.0 C# 2.0 ASP.NET 2.0 XML Windows 2003 IIS and ScaleOut StateServer. This solution was for Intellinex s next generation of Learning Management application. The solution solved the problem of providing a load balanced highly scalable and strongly typed solution with automatic failover capability for maintaining state over a highly trafficked and geographically dispersed web farm. The solution produced leading edge access speed by at least two orders of magnitude over existing solution to out of

process state data while lowering development costs. The solution also allowed Classic ASP to share state data with ASP.NET 2.0 without calls to database or to other web pages or web services. Developed and presented initial business case to support the solution to senior management.

Lead architect in creating detailed design for custom search and access authorization solution along with developing a working prototype using Visual Studio .NET 2.0 C# 2.0 SQL Server 2005 XML Web Services Transact SQL. This solution was for Intellinex s next generation of Learning Management application. This solution improved existing search speed from over a minute to under four one hundreds of a second while adding the additional feature of providing a solution of access authorization for both data and UI components involving an incredibly complex multi permission hierarchal matrix. The access permission component increased speed by over two orders of magnitude compared to existing and other best case solutions. The overall solution was highly scalable and provided for failover capabilities. The final design allowed for implementation of the solution for only a small fraction more than the existing solution would have cost. Developed and presented initial business case to support the solution to senior management.

Lead architect in creating detailed design and for a custom summary page for all learning requirements for Intellinex s largest client with over 80 000 employees. This solution was for Intellinex s current Learning Management application. Technologies used were Visual Studio .NET 1.1 C# 1.1 Javascript Classic ASP ASP.NET 1.1 web services XML SQL Server 2000 and Transact SQL.

True.com Senior Software Engineer - Irving TX 03/2005-03/2006

Lead developer/architect in several key additions to dating web site using VB.NET C# SQL Server Java Script XML SMTP Surround ADO.NET and Web Services.

Led architecture development and integration of key search module for True.com web site allowing for key scalability gains and well as performance increase of over two orders of magnitude. This included designing and coding solution to run both new and old solutions side by side. Completely redesigned search interface to accommodate search and lower effort to code new searches by more than 50%.
