Job position PLANNING / ENGINEERING OPERATIONS

PRODUCTION CONTROL

Responsibility and Authority:

- Plan production jobs for production and handle expedites and priority jobs

- Interact with other department managers in order to accomplish company objectives

- Participate in weekly production meetings and interact with department managers to establish production priorities

- Issue, coordinate and follow up on outside processing purchase orders

- Supervise collection of production data, time recording and other shop floor information

- Interact with customers

- Train, assist and control shop workers in doing paper work required by jobs

- Enforce company policy procedures

- Ensure the efficient use of equipment and resources

- Order operative supplies

- Direct, organize duties and responsibilities of team leaders and operators

- Manage time and attendance for direct employees

- Analyze production schedule and determine what is necessary to complete the work on time

- Interface with second shift team leader

- Provide training in manufacturing techniques, policies and procedures
