EXPERIENCE

SUPERINTENDENT April 2004 – July 2010
I worked for a finish woodworking company and general contracting company which specialized in both residential (new and remodels or additions) and commercial / retail construction (new and renovations). I was responsible for supervision and coordination of multiple trades and up to 30 employees, including but not limited to, electricians, plumbers, engineers, architects, and inspectors, budgets, inspections, change orders, RFI's, safety logs, estimating, project time lines, permits, and reading, reviewing, and making sure all plans were followed correctly not only in accordance to architect and engineers, but per California building code regulations and making necessary changes in order to meet and exceed superior quality standards. I also participated and completed a lot of the installation and building such as all types of trim moulding (base board, casing, crown. wainscoting), all installation and sometimes custom fabrication of many types of doors (residential, commercial, storefront and industrial), and with that the hardware as well (handles, locks, fire, security, and panic ). As well as custom fabrication and installation of cabinets and furniture both of wood (domestics and exotics) and composite materials (melamine, plywood, etc. ) and all hardware associated with cabinetry (hinges, handles, pulls, glides, etc.). Rough carpentry was also a necessary part of this process such as metal and wood framing, trusses, TGI’s, taping, mud, painting, and drywall. Also, light electrical, light plumbing, roofing, demo, and equipment operations all power tools, booms, lifts, and scaffolding.

As Foreman at The Moulding Guy, a company that specialized in high-end, finish woodworking for highly valued homes throughout Los Angeles and Orange Counties, my duties encompassed supervising all employees, up to 15 at times, and handled multiple, consecutive projects with strict deadlines and tight budgets. I managed project schedules, providing comprehensive estimates to clients, as well as, cold calling to generate sales. I was also involved in every aspect of running and maintaining an office setting and often functioned as the office manager. In addition, I was also an instructor for carpenter apprentices, designer, and of course a lead installer and master craftsman.
