Working for HyperSoft, I have had to wear many hats in many different situations. Due to an owner that travelled extensively and was only available sporadically, I pretty much ran the day-to-day operations of HyperSoft during the last few years. I am self-motivated and able to multi-task on many different tasks at once as necessary. I am not afraid of a challenge and am able to learn and digest new information extremely well due to years of experience in many different IT-related fields.

Managed 2 programmers under me; training them in software engineering as well as taking customer requirements and turning them into step-by-step design specifications that they could work on. Mentored them both on the finer points of software design and programming, as well as enforcing programming standards where needed.

Also in charge of most quality assurance for software, doing final testing to make sure nothing was missed during the initial design phase. I am able to be extremely detail-oriented where needed and am a very able proofreader of both code and prose. As the senior system adminstrator and chief security officer, it was my responsibility to setup and administer a 20 server network for multiple clients at multiple client sites. Also included approximately one hundred various Windows version PC's, Linux desktops, a few Macintosh OS 9 boxes, and several printers and print servers of varying brands and flavors.

Experience with Linux, Windows and SCO UNIX administration. Responsible for keeping up with all new vulnerabilities in software ran at client sites, keeping patches up to date vs. those threats and monitoring logs for any problems and proactively solving any approaching problems before they interfered with IT operations.

Wide experience with Linux logwatch, chkrootkit, tripwire, nmap and nessus security scanning software; as well as Apache webserver, Tomcat4 JSP Engine, mod_ssl http encryption and Secure Sockets Layer secure setup and administration. Some experience with Linux iptables firewall software, MailScanner anti-virus servers and SpamAssassin spam filtering software setup and use.

Also responsible for new account setup and auditing, making sure all permissions and passwords were secure and monitoring all accounts and logs for any signs of compromise or unusual activity.

Processed federal paperwork concerning Nursing Assessments on a SCO UNIX-based system, scheduled Nursing CarePlan Meetings each month, evaluated and maintained Resident Assessment Protocol files and tracked trends using Monette Software's UltraCare System, created original forms and other graphics as needed by the facility using my Windows-based system and software, and various kinds of basic computer troubleshooting, including basic system administration.

Opened own computer graphics business, The Image Factory, specializing in promotional materials for rock bands and advertising/corporate identity materials for local businesses.
