Project Manager for DPG’s Platform Compatibility and Ecosystem Validation (PCEV) database (DB). The validation database supported all aspects of CPU & system validation including inventory control, project planning, HW & SW configurations, test applications, test results, and failure analysis.

Managed the construction and daily operations of the Compatibility Validation, Silicon Validation, and the Desktop Product Systems Division Labs at JF, RA, and HF.
• Lab Construction:
o Managed the design and construction of Intel’s System Validation Labs. Typical lab size ranged from 5,000 to 10,000 sqft with budgets in excess of $1M.
o Responsibilities included compiling user requirements, creating CAD floor plans, and specifying the electrical, HVAC, and network infrastructure.
o Supervised the construction and operations of the labs with an emphasis on structural integrity, security, and personal safety.
• Lab Management:
o Directly managed between 6 and 13 employees in demanding, fast-paced post-silicon validation labs
o Routinely established production goals and monitored indicators to maintain production schedules and quality standards.
o Managed all aspects of lab operation included space allocation, preventative maintenance, health & safety, and enforcement of corporate business practices & policies.
• Asset Management:
o Managed all of the physical lab assets which typically included up to 20,000 items valued in excess of $10M.
o Forecasted and maintained the Capital and Expense budgets and supervised purchasing & equipment set-up.
o While managing the DPSD lab quarterly losses dropped by 60% and the calibration backlog was reduced by 90%. $200K of missing equipment was recovered, $120K of under-utilized equipment was appropriated from other Intel labs, and $185K of savings was negotiated from equipment leases.
