Summary

Currently have over seven years of experience as a site project controls specialists. Recently demobilized from Hong Kong site, which was an Environmental Controls project managed by The Shaw Group. The project consisted of the installation of four FGD’s and the limestone handling system. Plus, installed duct work tie-in to existing system and waste water treatment plant. Title on this project was Senior Project Scheduler. Have excellent working knowledge of P3 v3.1. Also possess working knowledge of Oracle’s P6. Recently completed a $200 million coal fired power plant flue gas desulphurization scrubber project with The Southern Company. Was the client’s project scheduler and later on transferred to site cost analyst position, since the position was void of a qualified employee. Developed the initial level two resource loaded construction schedule, and set up the earned value tracking package. Supported recovery planning for schedule slippage, reported status to corporate officers, and assessed project progress per quantities installed. As the site cost analyst, primary responsibility included accruing actual costs and projecting the estimate at completion (EAC). While working on a $60 million (EPC) wind energy project in Colorado, managed site costs and the level 2 master schedule. In St. Croix, USVI, worked as site scheduler on a $40 million oil and gas expander turbine project. Also, have experience as a senior project scheduler in a manufacturing facility. Possess strong working knowledge of scheduling/cost tracking methodologies and software. Also have commercial surveying experience.

2008–2009 Site Construction Senior Scheduler – Shaw Group, Charlotte, North Carolina

Exxon Mobil, CLP Power Plant Castle Peak; Castle Peak, Hong Kong– Worked with general contractor to the develop progress tracking system and baseline Primavera V3.1 schedule. During the first phase of the project, 3D model power point presentations were developed which depicted the construction sequence for the project. Developed Earned Value tracking tool for the major FGD contractor and actively managed their scheduling team for this contract package. Reported progress and schedule updates to management team on a weekly basis. Calculated schedule performance index in order to determine the forecasted completion date. Also, analyzed craft productivity and how this related to the schedule performance. Assisted Shaw construction management to develop and propose to the client schedule improvement solutions.

2007–2008 Site Construction Cost Analyst – WorleyParsons, Reading, Pennsylvania

Southern Company, Georgia Power Plant Wansley, Franklin, Georgia – Accrued actual construction costs on a daily basis and reported monthly totals to management team. Reported schedule performance based projected costs. Projected cost/performance data was reported to contractor personnel. Compared accrued actual costs/projected costs to determine health of project on a monthly basis.

2006 – 2007 Site Construction Scheduler – WorleyParsons, Reading, Pennsylvania

Southern Company, Georgia Power Plant Wansley, Franklin, Georgia – Developed initial construction schedule from project estimate. Provided project controls related input during the creation of bid documents for contract packages. Led effort to generate manpower loaded schedule and manpower curves for the entire project. Guided subcontractor management team in the development progress reports based on quantities installed. Generated internal progress tracking and reporting procedures based on earned value methodologies. Setup and controlled the construction master schedule for the construction effort. Sub-project schedules were restored into the master schedule on a weekly basis. Reported schedule performance and productivity via a quantity based resource loaded schedule on a monthly basis.

2006 HQ Senior Project Scheduler – Alstom Transportation, Hornell, New York

Managed schedule for New York City Transit subway car assembly project. Scheduling software used was Primavera Enterprise. Helped to develop reporting procedures and report standardization for management. Created earned value tracking tools and procedures that the shop used to report earned value. Another key task while working with Alstom was standardizing a template schedule work breakdown structure for rail car assembly. Developed methods to forecast “estimates at completion”, plus estimated resource requirements for the current plan versus productivity rates.

2003 - 2006 HQ Project Controls Engineer – GE Energy-PPSD, Norcross, Georgia

Developed bid schedules and maintained project schedules for GE Wind Energy & GE Energy. While working for General Electric, Primavera P3 version 3.1 software was used exclusively. Maintenance of project schedules required weekly interaction with project management to determine project scope/ EV changes. Used Project Baseline (cost tracking database) to control as-sold budgets/schedule and scope changes. Weekly schedule and budget reviews occurred with project management teams to ensure validity. Generated/submitted reports to GE upper management monthly that summarized project progress, costs, and key concerns.

2004 - 2005 Site Project Controls Engineer – GE Oil and Gas, St Croix, USVI

Hovensa Expander Turbine Project in St Croix, USVI – Project included an upgrade to an existing oil refinery by installing an expander turbine and generator. Construction took about one year to complete with ~ 18 day plant turn around.

* Acted as customer’s site project controls contact for GE Conmec.

* Forecasted resource needs, based on productivity, to remain on schedule.

* Maintained a customer relationship geared towards customer satisfaction.

* Reviewed, audited, and advised subcontractor per their construction scheduling effort.

* Created and issued earned value reports to client and project manager on a weekly basis.

* Developed and updated GE Millwright and start-up schedule.

2003 - 2004 Lead Site Project Controls Engineer – GE Wind Energy, Colorado

Colorado Green Wind Farm Project in Lamar, Colorado – Was a 108-unit turnkey self-implement project including all civil, installation, start-up, 44-mile transmission line, substation, and operations and maintenance (O&M) building. Project peaked at ~600 people and was completed ahead of schedule and under budget. Tracked, monitored, and updated project schedule and reported progress to project management. Monitored time and material subcontracted work. Developed and implemented process to track, monitor, and forecast T&M costs daily. Generated project progress reports (earned value). Responsible for managing scope changes on a daily basis.

2002 - 2003 Gas and Steam Turbine Engineer Intern – GE Power Systems, Atlanta, Georgia

* Analyzed data found on engineering proposals.

* Used Oracle software to develop a bill-of-material from Global Connector cost sheets.

* Used IBM Mainframe (Copics) to locate invalid drawing numbers.
